The exhibit
One of Piccadilly’s newer club venues at the time, CC Club’s Saturday session — ‘High Life’ — mixed RnB and Hip Hop with Latino and Funky House, plus all the dancefloor favourites in between.
The original page didn’t mince words: Saturdays here were extremely busy, and even guest-listed names were urged to arrive early to beat the CC rush. Inside, several VIP areas and a back room holding 250 guests gave the night its clubby, packed-out feel.
And one instruction every regular remembers: if you’re on the guest list, always queue on the HMV side of the club.
